Orlando Corral charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 41st minute Jaime Ortega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Quintero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Ortega struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Jose Quintero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nuevo San Juan.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Ortega couldn't finish the play. Chorrillo F.C.'s Jose Quintero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Chorrillo F.C. from getting a goal against them. During the 95th minute of the match Orlando Corral completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Orlando Corral a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Orlando Corral kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Nuevo San Juan played a much better game than Chorrillo F.C. and deserved their victory. The Chorrillo F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
