Spectators: 7781 (Terracing: 5836, Seating: 1790, VIP seats: 155) Club Atletico Nacional's Toto Posam started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Josef Mellbad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriel Nuñez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Juan Gil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Gil made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Åke Asmundsson sent off a good shot on target. Wiliam Ortiz hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. When Agustin De Paredes came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Isla Iguana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustin De Paredes couldn't finish the play. After 18 played minutes Isla Iguana got a freekick which was hit by Victor Murillo. Juan Gil made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Toto Posam sent off a good shot on target. Isla Iguana's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Gabriel Nuñez scored to the left of an out of position Juan Gil, making the score, 1-0. Åke Asmundsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Gil having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Åke Asmundsson made a precise shot to the right of Juan Gil. Isla Iguana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Guillermo Spadafora kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juan Gil. That made the score 3-0 in the 41 minute of play. A hard shot 45 in the game by Toto Posam from a close distance when the talented Juan Gil managed to make a qualified save. Isla Iguana's players were relieved. 47 minutes into the game, Gabriel Nuñez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juan Gil. Gabriel Nuñez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victor Ortega made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, David Benavides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Spadafora in the 57th minute of play forced Isla Iguana's goalkeeper Juan Gil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Ortega was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. Isla Iguana's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Juan Gil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Spadafora in the 61st minute of the match. Mario Carrillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th match minute, Club Atletico Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josef Mellbad to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st match minute, Isla Iguana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomaso Herbruger to maneuver through the defense. If Toto Posam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Åke Asmundsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juan Gil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Nuñez, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Isla Iguana's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Spadafora came free, but Juan Gil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isla Iguana's Juan Gil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toto Posam in the 85th minute of play. Juan Gil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Nuñez, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toto Posam in the 93rd minute of play forced Isla Iguana's goalkeeper Juan Gil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Club Atletico Nacional players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
