Jorge Muñoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Nuñez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 52 minutes into the match, Dolega's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Spadafora came free, but Jorge Muñoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Dolega's Alexis Palma got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Dolega's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gabriel Nuñez 56 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. Alejandro Morris was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Åke Asmundsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Jorge Muñoz made a huge save. A collision led to Club Atletico Nacional getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Francesco Brandao hit a great ball. Dolega's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alexis Palma in the 76th minute. Club Atletico Nacional's Alejandro Morris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Navarro in the 78th minute of play. Sergio Zambrano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Alejandro Morris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the game, Club Atletico Nacional's Guillermo Spadafora nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The attack was good, but when Toto Posam in the 88th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Club Atletico Nacional's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
