With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toto Barrera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Santa Rita Arriba F.C.! Toto Barrera had in the 14thth minute some difficulties stopping Miguel Pérez's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to Santiago De Veraguas F.C. getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Victor De Diego hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Luchito Moreno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ricardo Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santa Rita Arriba F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Gustavo Ortega scored to the left of an out of position Toto Barrera, making the score, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luchito Moreno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ricardo Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toto Barrera having to interfere. Humberto Henríguez charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Humberto Henríguez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Santiago De Veraguas F.C. getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Humberto Henríguez hit a great ball. If Ricardo Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eloy Orozco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Toto Barrera. Santa Rita Arriba F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Toto Barrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Ortega in the 68th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Gustavo Ortega left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santiago De Veraguas F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Miguel Pérez kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Ramón Vergara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Santiago De Veraguas F.C.'s Gustavo Ortega got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 92 played minutes Santiago De Veraguas F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Amaya. 95 minutes into the game, Luchito Moreno recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of David Ramirez. Luchito Moreno showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Santiago De Veraguas F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Santa Rita Arriba F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
