Spectators: 6780 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 0) Dolega's Sergio Zambrano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dolega's Jorge Muñoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Batista in the 5th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dolega's Guillermo Escobar got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 13th minute Gustavo Ortega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Muñoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Ortega's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Muñoz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Ricardo Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Jorge Muñoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ricardo Batista came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Santiago De Veraguas F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Batista couldn't finish the play. Gustavo Ortega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Muñoz having to interfere. Jorge Muñoz came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Santiago De Veraguas F.C.'s Ricardo Batista. But to his dismay, Ricardo Batista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 29 minutes into the match, Gustavo Ortega notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Dolega's Jorge Muñoz. Jorge Muñoz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jorge Muñoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Ortega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Gustavo Ortega ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Muñoz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 42 played minutes Santiago De Veraguas F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Henríguez. Gustavo Ortega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Jorge Muñoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Dolega's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Batista came free, but Jorge Muñoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 51st minute of the match Dolega got a corner. Santiago De Veraguas F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alexis Palma ran over to the corner to take the kick. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustavo Ortega was the one to do the kick off. If Fernando Navarro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Navarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. David Ramirez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dolega's Fernando Navarro got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santiago De Veraguas F.C.'s David Ramirez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Navarro in the 65th minute of play. Jorge Muñoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Ortega, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Cesar Pérez kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Ortega in the 69th minute of play forced Dolega's goalkeeper Jorge Muñoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 72 played minutes Gustavo Ortega rounded Dolega's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. Sergio Zambrano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Ramirez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustavo Ortega in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Muñoz saved Dolega from getting behind. After 85 played minutes Dolega got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Pérez. Guillermo Escobar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Ramirez having to interfere. When Felipe Bermudez fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santiago De Veraguas F.C.'s protests and gave Felipe Bermudez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 98th match minute, Santiago De Veraguas F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Bermudez to maneuver through the defense. In the 99th minute, Alexis Palma sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Santiago De Veraguas F.C.'s David Ramirez didn't even have to move.
