An unexpectedly hard shot by Martín Amaya in the 15th minute of play forced Los Pollos's goalkeeper Luis García to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monchi Ortega scored 1-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luis García, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Los Pollos's Raul Fernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Rafael De Diego hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martín Amaya was the one to do the kick off. Luis García came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Nombre De Dios's Monchi Ortega. But to his dismay, Monchi Ortega quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Sergio De Diego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolás Lozano, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael De Diego during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Nombre De Dios getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Rafael De Diego hit a great ball. Toto Morris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francesco Pinilla 's late challenge caught a Los Pollos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francesco Pinilla helped the player get up and apologised. After 76 played minutes Nombre De Dios got a freekick which was hit by Francesco Pinilla . In the 78th minute, Nicolás Lozano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Toto Morris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio De Diego having to interfere. When Martín Amaya got free in front of the goal in the 86th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Luis García was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Monchi Ortega got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Los Pollos's zone, Martín Amaya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis García came out of the goal and Martín Amaya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Nombre De Dios supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nombre De Dios would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
