Alex Vergara kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, CANALEROS F.C.'s Tjark Kreutzer got a free kick in the 16th minute. Carlos Pérez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Eduardo Villarreal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Jose Benavides was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Francesco Carrillo took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Eduardo Villarreal to make any attempt to save it. Francesco Carrillos short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Eduardo Villarreal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In a very dangerous position, a player in Metetí fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Eduardo Villarreal, was totally fooled by CANALEROS F.C.'s Alex Vergara, who 44 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucho Lozano was the one to do the kick off. Metetí's Eduardo Villarreal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Vergara in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Jose Quintero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 63 minutes, Francesco Carrillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CANALEROS F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Francesco Carrillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th match minute, CANALEROS F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tjark Kreutzer to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Francesco Carrillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Metetí's Hermes Valdez got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Lucho Lozano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to CANALEROS F.C. getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ramón Aizprua hit a great ball. Alberto Benavides hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CANALEROS F.C. had played much better football throughout.
