Spectators: 6782 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Andres Pinilla took the kick off in the first half of the match. Totin Centella blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Monchi Alfaro having to make a save. In the 2nd minute, one of Azuero F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Azuero F.C.. Monchi Alfaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Totin Centella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 9 minutes, Andres Pinilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Azuero F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Andres Pinilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Azuero F.C.'s Monchi Alfaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Totin Centella in the 17th minute of play. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Toto Orozco sped through Azuero F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Monchi Alfaro. Toto Orozco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Monchi Alfaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ramon Perez fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Azuero F.C.'s protests and gave Ramon Perez a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Santa Fé booed when Azuero F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomaso Brandao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toto Orozco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Totin Centella took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Monchi Alfaro. Monchi Alfaro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. If Toto Orozco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toto Orozco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Monchi Alfaro having to interfere. Totin Centella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santa Fé's Totin Centella got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 48thth minute of the game Toto Orozco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Azuero F.C.'s Monchi Alfaro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Totin Centella made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Toto Orozco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Santa Fé booed when Azuero F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andres Pinilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Toto Orozco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Fé's supporters rose to their feet, but Toto Orozco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Monchi Alfaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Monchi Alfaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Totin Centella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Totin Centella struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Monchi Alfaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Fé. After a defensive mix-up in Azuero F.C.'s zone, Totin Centella stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Monchi Alfaro came out of the goal and Totin Centella tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Toto Orozco's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Monchi Alfaro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Toto Orozco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Monchi Alfaro having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Azuero F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Totin Centella came free, but Monchi Alfaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Monchi Alfaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Muñoz in the 76th minute of play. Monchi Alfaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Totin Centella, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 83 minutes into the match, Azuero F.C.'s goalkeeper Monchi Alfaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toto Orozco. Toto Orozco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Toto Orozco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Andres Pinilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute Santa Fé were awarded a corner. Marcos González went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Marcos González almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Azuero F.C.'s Monchi Alfaro did a great save. The Azuero F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Santa Fé were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
