When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Joe Villalaz took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Jose Torrijos to make any attempt to save it. In the 20th minute Cheito Caballero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Torrijos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Nuevo Guararé was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Ticho to maneuver through the defense. Antonio Carranza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Fernandez having to interfere. Javier Rios succeeded in the game's 34th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. In the 37th minute Antonio Carranza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Américo De Gracia kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After having played for 48 minutes, Javier Rios managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nuevo Guararé's supporters crossed their fingers, but Javier Rios was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cheito Caballero made a kick off. Antonio Carranzas short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Gustavo Fernandez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Nuevo Guararé's Alexander Jaen got a free kick in the 55th minute. Gustavo Fernandez was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Javier Rios capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Javier Rios really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. After 64 played minutes Nuevo Guararé got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Jaen. In the 66th minute, Alexander Quiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jose Torrijos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cheito Caballero in the 68th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Javier Rios in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustavo Fernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 72nd minute Américo De Gracia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Torrijos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejandro Villalobos struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Gustavo Fernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nuevo Guararé. In the 82nd minute Nuevo Guararé were awarded a corner. Alejandro Villalobos went to the cornerflag to take it. Alejandro Villalobos made a great header on Nuevo Guararé's corner, it was just that Penonomé F.C.'s Gustavo Fernandez managed to reach the ball for a save. Calito Gomez lost his temper 84 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Nuevo Guararé getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Alejandro Villalobos hit a great ball. The supporters of Penonomé F.C. booed when Nuevo Guararé was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Villalobos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuevo Guararé's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
