In the 3rd minute, Javier Rios left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nuevo Guararé fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Alexander Quiros hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Nuevo Guararé's Jose Torrijos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Pérez in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in El Roble F.C.'s zone, Javier Rios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesar Zapata came out of the goal and Javier Rios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 19 played minutes El Roble F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Chavez. Javier Rios struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Cesar Zapata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nuevo Guararé. After some careless play in the El Roble F.C. defense, Antonio Carranza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cesar Zapata. The El Roble F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesar Zapata should have stopped the shot. 23 minutes into the game, Nuevo Guararé's Matias Sánchez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cesar Zapata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Cesar Zapata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonio Carranza's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Javier Rios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Rios in the 30th minute of play forced El Roble F.C.'s goalkeeper Cesar Zapata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Carranza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Zapata having to interfere. Cesar Zapata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Rios in the 40th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, El Roble F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Carranza came free, but Cesar Zapata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moisés Pérez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cesar Zapata made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Antonio Carranza sent off a good shot on target. Antonio Carranza struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Cesar Zapata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nuevo Guararé. 78 minutes into the game, Javier Rios lined in a short shot 0-5 behind a frustrated Cesar Zapata. Nuevo Guararé's Jose Torrijos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Pérez in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Alejandro Villalobos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexander Quiros shot from long distance in the 94th minute, but Cesar Zapata was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Cesar Zapata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Rios in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Nuevo Guararé left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than El Roble F.C..
