Marcos Peren struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Orlando Peren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Río De Jesús. With a little luck, Boquete's Orlando Peren got control of the ball when Marcos Peren tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

José Escalona was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. Boquete's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Marcos Peren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
