To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Amsterdam FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Totín Gutierrez hit a great ball. Raul Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Totín Gutierrez came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Amsterdam FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Totín Gutierrez couldn't finish the play. Emanuel Bermudez kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Manuel Chavez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Totín Gutierrez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Reinaldo Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orlando Quirós stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Raul Lao got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Dolega F.C. getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Martín Valdez hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Amsterdam FC's Manuel Chavez tried to score from far away in the 57th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Totín Gutierrez put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Reinaldo Moreno. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dolega F.C.'s goalkeeper Reinaldo Moreno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amsterdam FC's Raul Lao got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Raul Lao's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reinaldo Moreno was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Dolega F.C.'s zone, Raul Lao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reinaldo Moreno came out of the goal and Raul Lao tried to chip the ball over his head. Amsterdam FC's Manuel Chavez couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Dolega F.C.. Dolega F.C.'s Raul Paredes got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dolega F.C.'s Reinaldo Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Lao in the 85th minute of play. Lorenzo Quiros hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raul Paredes got free with Reggie Morris in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
