Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Max Garcia started the match with the kick off. Beto Pimentel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Caballero having to interfere. Rolando Carrillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elias Gil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Carrillo in the 16th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Rolando Carrillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rolando Carrillo scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elias Gil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Milton Henriguez kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. If Max Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beto Pimentel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. David Caballero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Max Garcia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Caballero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rolando Carrillo to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Milton Henriguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Academia Panameña U20 booed when Dep Margun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beto Pimentel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd match minute, Academia Panameña U20 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Caballero to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the match, Academia Panameña U20's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Pimentel came free, but David Caballero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Dep Margun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milton Henriguez to maneuver through the defense. Elias Gil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Carrillo in the 70th minute of play. If Beto Pimentel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Max Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 81 played minutes Dep Margun got a freekick which was hit by Milton Henriguez. Ricardo Agurto's late challenge caught a Dep Margun's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Agurto helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Dep Margun booed when Academia Panameña U20 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Agurto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beto Pimentel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. David Caballero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dep Margun's Max Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Max Garcia came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Dep Margun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Max Garcia couldn't finish the play. Dep Margun's Beto Pimentel got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 95 minutes of play, Dep Margun's Max Garcia made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Caballero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dep Margun's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
