Gariché's Marcos Nuñez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex De Leon in the 12th minute of play. Gariché's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Alex De Leon scored to the left of an out of position Marcos Nuñez, making the score, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Reinaldo Paredes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Calito Tello was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Marcos Nuñez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex De Leon, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The supporters of El Espavé booed when Gariché was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Zapata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Nuñez made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Romel Pimentel sent off a good shot on target. 46 minutes into the match, El Espavé's goal looked a bit too open when Reinaldo Paredes came free, but Calito Tello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moisés Torrijos's late challenge caught a Gariché's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Zapata couldn't finish the play. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Gariché's zone, Romel Pimentel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Nuñez came out of the goal and Romel Pimentel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romel Pimentel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Felix Pimentel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gariché's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Espavé the free kick. Alex De Leon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 82nd minute, Romel Pimentel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gariché fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Nuñez should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute, Romel Pimentel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Nuñez was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0.
