Spectators: 6780 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ramón Nuñez got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd match minute, El Cortezo F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luchito Benavides to maneuver through the defense. El Cortezo F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Joe Bermudez scored to the left of an out of position Eduardo Perez, making the score, 1-0. Reinaldo Pinilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Javier Pinilla hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joe Bermudez in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Perez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raul Amaya kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Reinaldo Pinilla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Eduardo Perez made a huge save. Eduardo Perez was a little too slow when Joe Bermudez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-0. Eduardo Perez was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Joe Bermudez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joe Bermudez really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Reinaldo Pinilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Perez having to interfere. Felipe Pinilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramón Nuñez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Isla Grande F.C. getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Reinaldo Nuñez hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joe Bermudez was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Reinaldo Nuñez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute of the match Luchito Benavides shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felipe Pinilla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Heraclides Gómez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Pérez kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Eduardo Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Pinilla in the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Isla Grande F.C.'s goalkeeper Felipe Pinilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Reinaldo Nuñez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute of the match El Cortezo F.C.'s Luchito Benavides broke free and sent away a ball that went into the goal by the right post. 3-1. The supporters of El Cortezo F.C. booed when Isla Grande F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Herrera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luchito Carrillo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joe Bermudez in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eduardo Perez saved El Cortezo F.C. from getting behind. Joe Bermudez succeeded in the game's 87th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. 91 minutes into the game, Isla Grande F.C.'s Joe Bermudez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eduardo Perez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. 95 minutes into the match, Reinaldo Pinilla notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of El Cortezo F.C.'s Eduardo Perez. Eduardo Perez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Isla Grande F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
