In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Subiewerks F.C.'s goalkeeper Elias Murillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Manuel Palma kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Nicolás Agurto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Palma, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Zapata in the 23rd minute of play forced Subiewerks F.C.'s goalkeeper Elias Murillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Julio Briceño was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Subiewerks F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calobre the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Elias Murillo. In the 39th match minute, Subiewerks F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Centella to maneuver through the defense. If Alberto Jaen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 57 played minutes Calobre got a freekick which was hit by Hermes Centella. 61 minutes into the match, Subiewerks F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Castro came free, but Elias Murillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 65 minutes, Manuel Palma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Subiewerks F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Palma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicolás Agurto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Centella in the 69th minute of the match. Orlando Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Elias Murillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Mendoza's late challenge caught a Calobre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
