Luis Palma came out of the goal and Rafael Posam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Javier Zapata went to the wrong direction when Julio Palma was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. With an all-out effort, Creepy Lions Club's Javier Zapata threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Miguel Vergara, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Enrique Zapata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Enrique Zapata ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luis Palma was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After having played for 30 minutes, Enrique Zapata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sabanitas F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Zapata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Enrique Zapata put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Luis Palma. In the 37th minute Fabio Carrillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Zapata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio García fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Zapata having to interfere. In the 43rd play minute Antonio García came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Javier Zapata. 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Enrique Zapata was the one to do the kick off.
