María Chiquita's Mario Pérez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Amaya in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonidas Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Fernando Amaya took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Mario Pérez to make any attempt to save it. Nuevo Guararé F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
