Pablo Osorio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Zapata having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Pablo Barrera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Américo Morales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dep.Ancon's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Américo Morales scored to the left of an out of position Moisés Mota, making the score, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramón Cedeño in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Zapata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pablo Osorio struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Jonathan Zapata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dep.Ancon. In the 46th match minute, La Mata F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Quintero to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Pablo Barrera made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Treviño in the 52nd minute of play forced Dep.Ancon's goalkeeper Moisés Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 played minutes, La Mata F.C.'s Eloy De Gracia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Moisés Mota came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Mata F.C. reached it. Américo Morales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Moisés Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Dep.Ancon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Azael Alfaro to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Dep.Ancon's zone, Pablo Barrera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moisés Mota came out of the goal and Pablo Barrera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Américo Morales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Moisés Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Américo Morales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The La Mata F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Dep.Ancon had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
