El Silencio's Mario Palma got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilfredo Corral charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilfredo Corral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th match minute, Isla Iguana F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfredo Corral to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 17 minutes, Mario Palma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Silencio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Palma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonidas Zapata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Pablo Zambrano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonidas Zapata received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pablo Zambrano came out and tried to block the shot, but Leonidas Zapata slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 25th minute. Pablo Zambrano was a little too slow when Joe Carrillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 2-0. With a little luck, El Silencio's Pablo Zambrano got control of the ball when Leonidas Zapata tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in El Silencio's zone, Leonidas Zapata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pablo Zambrano came out of the goal and Leonidas Zapata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, Leonidas Zapata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Palma in the 46th minute of play forced Isla Iguana F.C.'s goalkeeper Marcos Escalona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Joe Carrillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pablo Zambrano was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mario Palma to make the kick off. In the 56th minute Wilfredo Corral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Zambrano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonidas Zapata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 61 minutes, Romel Sobenis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Silencio and the Isla Iguana F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 played minutes Isla Iguana F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Max Tello. Marcos Escalona didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elias Castro went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. 4-1 became the score in the 78th minute when Joe Carrillo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Mario Palma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Marcos Escalona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
