Riders on the Storm's Alex Chavez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Riders on the Storm from getting a goal against them. After 23 played minutes JoJaEn got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Treviño. Marcos Gómez's late challenge caught a Riders on the Storm's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calito Peralta couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Riders on the Storm players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for JoJaEn.
