David Quiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heraclides Sánchez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 15 played minutes Atletico Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Matias De Paredes. Jaime Spadafora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Leonidas Ramirez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonidas Ramirez made a kick off. Heraclides Paredes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Quiros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Mañanitas booed when Atletico Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias De Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Quiros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Heraclides Sánchez in the 58th minute. David Quiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Spadafora, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Pablo Mendoza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, Atletico Nacional failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
