Carlos Jaen hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Riders on the Storm's goalkeeper Alex Chavez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos De Leon. In the 20th minute, Fernando Ríos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute Juan Agurto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Muñoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastián Muñoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calito Peralta, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The wind increased when Jose Diaz made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Ramón Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riders on the Storm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramón Arias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Carlos De Leon sped through Riders on the Storm's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alex Chavez. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Agurto in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastián Muñoz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Andrés Henríguez came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Riders on the Storm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrés Henríguez couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Churuquita Grande F.C.'s zone, Calito Peralta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastián Muñoz came out of the goal and Calito Peralta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Calito Peralta came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Riders on the Storm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calito Peralta couldn't finish the play. If Juan Agurto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Calito Peralta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastián Muñoz having to interfere. Calito Peralta was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. Riders on the Storm's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Raul Morales hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. When Azael Castillo fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Churuquita Grande F.C.'s protests and gave Azael Castillo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th match minute, Churuquita Grande F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Azael Castillo to maneuver through the defense.
