After a rather tough play, Mortí's Elias Castro got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 11th minute Lucho Mendieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 minutes, Joe Toledano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mortí and the New Géminis Darién F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mortí's Joe Toledano got a free kick in the 14th minute. Javier Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucho Mendieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute, Felix Briceño got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rafael Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Javier Perez made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Felix Briceño sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute, Emiliano Castillero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The wind increased when Rafael Ortiz made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, New Géminis Darién F.C.'s Hector Quintero seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hector Quintero the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of New Géminis Darién F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hector Quintero had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 52 minutes into the game, one of New Géminis Darién F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Felix Briceño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Javier Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Totin Gil in the 60th minute of play. If Felix Briceño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 played minutes New Géminis Darién F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Matias Barrera. Mortí's Javier Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Briceño in the 75th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in New Géminis Darién F.C.'s zone, Rafael Ortiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guillermo Gonzalez came out of the goal and Rafael Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Felix Briceño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giancarlo Osorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Javier Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emiliano Castillero hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute of the match Guillermo Pimentel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Javier Perez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Felix Briceño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Totin Gil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Mortí's Emiliano Castillero got a free kick in the 96th minute. New Géminis Darién F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
