In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Plaza De Caisán's goalkeeper José Henríguez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Plaza De Caisán's goal looked a bit too open when Leonidas Gómez came free, but José Henríguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gilberto Osorio came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Plaza De Caisán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Osorio couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute, Franklin Ulloa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. An unexpected shot in the 46th minute by Leonidas Gómez got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Leonidas Gómez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonidas Gómez made a kick off. If Franklin Ulloa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Henríguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonidas Gómez in the 55th minute of play. Orlando Ramírez scored 2-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francesco Orozco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 60 minutes into the match, Plaza De Caisán's Gilberto Osorio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francesco Orozco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. José Henríguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonidas Gómez in the 67th minute of the match. Leonidas Gómez struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. José Henríguez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Arraijan F.C. Franklin Ulloa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Arraijan F.C's goalkeeper Francesco Orozco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Franklin Ulloa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Henríguez was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. 81 minutes into the game, Guillermo Ortiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Leonidas Gómez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Leonidas Gómez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Arraijan F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonidas Gómez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Henríguez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Franklin Ulloa might have been able to make a better finish in the 99th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Henríguez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Franklin Ulloa ran back to his position shaking his head.
