Moisés Peren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro González hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. When Moisés Peren came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Tubualá F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moisés Peren couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the match, Juan Mota had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Monchi De Paredes. Tubualá F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Mota was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabio Quirós to make the kick off. Monchi De Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Ramirez, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Rio Hato FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
