Spectators: 8568 (Terracing: 6427, Seating: 1970, VIP seats: 171) Rio Hato FC's Gilberto Ramirez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, one of Rio Hato FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rio Hato FC. In the 18th minute of the match Santa Ana Arriba got a corner. Rio Hato FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Giancarlo Cedeño ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Giancarlo Cedeño almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rio Hato FC's Sebastián Treviño did a great save. Rolando Trejos took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastián Treviño. Sebastián Treviño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Amaya in the 32nd minute of play. Ramon Palma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Ramirez in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Romel Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 minutes, José Amaya made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Rio Hato FC's Sebastián Treviño tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Amaya to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Luis Fernandez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rio Hato FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santa Ana Arriba the free kick. After a rather tough play, Rio Hato FC's Luis Fernandez got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Gilberto Ramirez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Rio Hato FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Totin Gomez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Juan Mota left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rio Hato FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. When the final whistle went the supporters of Santa Ana Arriba were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Rio Hato FC side.
