Spectators: 6944 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1944, VIP seats: 0) Caimitillo F.C.'s Leonidas Amaya started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Luchito Barrera reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ramon Orozco. The goal made the score 1-0. The supporters of Caimitillo F.C. booed when Divalá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caimitillo F.C.'s Gilberto Corral couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 8th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Divalá. In the 10th match minute, Divalá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucho Ramos to maneuver through the defense. If Pablo Centella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonidas Amaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermes Villarreal having to interfere. After having played for 18 minutes, Pablo Centella managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caimitillo F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Pablo Centella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hermes Villarreal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonidas Amaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the game, Fernando Amaya was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Divalá's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caimitillo F.C. the free kick. Fernando Amaya kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute of the match Gilberto Corral sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hermes Villarreal skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Centella in the 34th minute of play forced Divalá's goalkeeper Hermes Villarreal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Leonidas Amaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermes Villarreal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Amaya was shown his second yellow card after 36 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Divalá's Fernando Amaya got a free kick in the 37th minute. Pablo Centella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Gil kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Corral in the 46th minute of play forced Divalá's goalkeeper Hermes Villarreal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Antonio Amaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

With a little luck, Divalá's Hermes Villarreal got control of the ball when Pablo Centella tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilberto Corral was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Leonidas Amaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Divalá support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
