Pedro Gil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for José Peren. Los Algarrobos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. José Peren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luchito Barrera's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Eduardo De Leon took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for José Peren to make any attempt to save it. In the 12th match minute, Divalá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Monchi Castillero to maneuver through the defense. Hermes Villarreal came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Algarrobos's Edgardo Morris. But to his dismay, Edgardo Morris quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Eduardo De Leon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 21 minutes, Cheito Ramirez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Algarrobos and the Divalá players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Luchito Barrera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Peren was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Eduardo De Leon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Peren having to interfere. Felix Barrera kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Luchito Barrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Peren having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Hermes Villarreal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgardo Morris went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduardo De Leon in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Peren saved Los Algarrobos from getting behind. Raul Morris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Edgardo Morris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Morris who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Hermes Villarreal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Raul Morris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raul Morris might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hermes Villarreal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raul Morris ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Los Algarrobos's Sebastián Ramos got a free kick in the 95th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
