After 16 played minutes Macano F.C got a freekick which was hit by Heraclides Fernandez. Cesar Palma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Moisés Corral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Javier Fernández sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, C.A.ANCON's Miguel Fernandez got control of the ball when Francesco Castillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Macano F.C's Miguel Fernandez threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Francesco Castillo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 27 minutes, Javier Fernández managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macano F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Javier Fernández was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Francesco Castillo sped through C.A.ANCON's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Miguel Fernandez. 38 minutes into the match, C.A.ANCON's goalkeeper Miguel Fernandez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Javier Fernández. A collision led to C.A.ANCON getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Juan Zambrano hit a great ball. The long shot by Humberto Ríos in the 44th minute really tested Miguel Fernandez's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cesar Palma was the one to do the kick off. Gustavo Trejos kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cesar Palma got free with Moisés Corral in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 58th minute, Javier Fernández hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 59 played minutes C.A.ANCON got a freekick which was hit by Julio Bermudez. The audience was convinced that Francesco Castillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Fernandez was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Francesco Castillo put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Miguel Fernandez. Miguel Fernandez came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Macano F.C's Javier Fernández. But to his dismay, Javier Fernández quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Macano F.C's Moisés Corral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Macano F.C from getting a goal against them. In the 85th match minute, Macano F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Agurto to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Macano F.C's Luchito Posam got a free kick in the 88th minute. After a defensive mix-up in C.A.ANCON's zone, Francesco Castillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Fernandez came out of the goal and Francesco Castillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Javier Fernández sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute, Francesco Castillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Macano F.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
