El Cristo SS's Traian Cârnu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Centella in the 9th minute of play. Carlos Centella scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Traian Cârnu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute of the match Cañazas got a corner. El Cristo SS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Martín Sánchez ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Carlos Centella came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Cañazas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Centella couldn't finish the play. Traian Cârnu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Centella's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Tello during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th match minute, El Cristo SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Tello to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute, Carlos Centella made a precise shot to the right of Traian Cârnu. El Cristo SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2.

The wind increased when Fernando Arauz made the kick off in the second half. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Traian Cârnu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fabio Arauz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Traian Cârnu having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, El Cristo SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Arauz to maneuver through the defense. Milton González kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Traian Cârnu made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Carlos Centella sent off a good shot on target. Cañazas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
