Miguel Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Bultrón, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the match, C.A.ANCON's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Bultrón came free, but Miguel Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10thth minute of the game Marcos Bultrón who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A.ANCON's Miguel Fernandez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Heraclides Tijero kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hector Trejos during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 17 minutes into the game, one of C.A.ANCON:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Marcos Bultrón shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Sebastián Herbruger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Bultrón blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Fernandez having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in C.A.ANCON's zone, Marcos Bultrón stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Fernandez came out of the goal and Marcos Bultrón tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos Bultrón blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Fernandez having to make a save. Cesar Palma's late challenge caught a David FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cesar Palma helped the player get up and apologised. Cesar Palma hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Miguel Fernandez was a little too slow when Marcos Bultrón got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 1-0. Miguel Fernandez came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by David FC's Sergio Torrijos. But to his dismay, Sergio Torrijos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cesar Palma made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in C.A.ANCON's zone, Reggie Quintero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Fernandez came out of the goal and Reggie Quintero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Bermudez in the 53rd minute of play forced David FC's goalkeeper Pablo Quintero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reggie Quintero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute Sergio Torrijos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, C.A.ANCON's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Bultrón came free, but Miguel Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute Marcos Bultrón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute Jorge Ramirez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Bultrón fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Fernandez having to interfere. David FC's Rafael Tijero suffered a concussion after 80 minutes and had to leave the field. When Orlando Perez fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A.ANCON's protests and gave Orlando Perez a yellow card for diving instead. David FC made a substitution. Reggie Orozco replaced Rafael Tijero. Orlando Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the game, David FC's Marcos Bultrón nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miguel Fernandez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 88 minutes into the match, C.A.ANCON's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Bultrón came free, but Miguel Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pablo Quintero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Bermudez in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Marcos Bultrón had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Fernandez. C.A.ANCON's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcos Bultrón was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0.
