But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucho Briceño couldn't finish the play. After the first half CD Plaza Amador were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilfredo Mora was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucho Briceño in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrés Quiros saved Aserrío De Gariché F.C. from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Lucho Briceño's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrés Quiros was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Ersen Cakir hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Emanuel Tello kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. But to his dismay, Lucho Briceño quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. Andrés Quiros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucho Briceño in the 72nd minute. A collision led to Aserrío De Gariché F.C. getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Tomás Ramírez hit a great ball. Maximiliano Hechter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th match minute, Aserrío De Gariché F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Castillo to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Lucho Briceño's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrés Quiros was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 92nd minute, Lucho Briceño got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucho Briceño in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrés Quiros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Aserrío De Gariché F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CD Plaza Amador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
