Jerzy Jajesniak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Ramírez in the 24th minute of play. When Alberto Alfaro came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the The Blues FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Alfaro couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute of the match Jose Zapata shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucho Diaz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Baldomero Gau kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The supporters of CD Plaza Amador booed when The Blues FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Alfaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Alfaro made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Gustavo Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Blues FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Plaza Amador the free kick. Hany Colipi kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Jerzy Jajesniak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Alfaro in the 56th minute of the match. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucho Briceño in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucho Diaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ersen Cakir in the 63rd minute of play forced The Blues FC's goalkeeper Lucho Diaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Lucho Briceño notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of The Blues FC's Lucho Diaz. Lucho Diaz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
