In the 44th match minute, OSO F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Paredes to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Ciencias FC booed when OSO F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulpiano Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eloy Gil struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Jose Henríguez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ciencias FC. The OSO F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ciencias FC were winning 0-1.

OSO F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ulpiano Paredes in the 85th minute. OSO F.C.'s Ulpiano Paredes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Silvestre Henriques in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eloy Gil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Henríguez having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Romel Peren managed to get in a good position for a shot. OSO F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Romel Peren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvestre Henriques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute Romel Peren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Henriques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ciencias FC's zone, Rigoberto Gomez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvestre Henriques came out of the goal and Rigoberto Gomez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 97 minutes, Rosendo Ugutz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciencias FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rosendo Ugutz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ciencias FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
