Tulcán City FC's Veronica Viergol managed to work through Barcelona's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Veronica Viergol dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After having played for 14 minutes, Vito Concha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tulcán City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vito Concha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zeledon Parcero came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Barcelona's Calderón Remon. But to his dismay, Calderón Remon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Tulcán City FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Barcelona:s goal. The referee gave Barcelona a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Calderón Remon, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tulcán City FC's Zeledon Parcero. 0-2. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tulcán City FC's goalkeeper Zeledon Parcero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Xalvador Soterraña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Calderón Remon scored 0-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zeledon Parcero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute Calderón Remon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Parcero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tulcán City FC's Zeledon Parcero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xalvador Soterraña in the 40th minute of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Calderón Remon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barcelona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calderón Remon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ignacio Golmayo was the one to do the kick off. Calderón Remon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Parcero having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Xalvador Soterraña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barcelona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xalvador Soterraña was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 59 played minutes Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Javier Pontones. Ignacio Golmayo kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Zeledon Parcero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calderón Remon in the 64th minute of the match. After 64 minutes, Ignacio Golmayo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tulcán City FC and the Barcelona players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Barcelona booed when Tulcán City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignacio Golmayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Calderón Remon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Zeledon Parcero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Xalvador Soterraña managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcelona's supporters rose to their feet, but Xalvador Soterraña was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeledon Parcero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Javier Pontones hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Tulcán City FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Xalvador Soterraña 73 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. After 78 played minutes Tulcán City FC got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Golmayo. Barcelona's Calderón Remon got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute Ignacio Golmayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislaw Pawelczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute Calderón Remon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Parcero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanislaw Pawelczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Golmayo in the 91st minute of play. The supporters of Tulcán City FC booed when Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Sancibrao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barcelona's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
