The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Vielva got free with Xuan Costilla in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 9 minutes, Anangonó Bratuti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tena and the Barcelona Sporting Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute, Julian Vielva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barcelona Sporting Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Fernando Valenciaga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xuan Costilla having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Fernando Valenciaga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Xuan Costilla. That made the score 2-0 in the 36 minute of play. A collision led to Tena getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Anangonó Bratuti hit a great ball. Xuan Costilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Valenciaga in the 42nd minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Valenciaga to make the kick off. Barcelona Sporting Club's Julian Vielva got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xuan Costilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xepe Aramoyana in the 55th minute of play. After 57 minutes of play, Barcelona Sporting Club's Bianco Di Lorenzo made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xuan Costilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Barcelona Sporting Club booed when Tena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Arnedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xian Bodelon missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 61 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Xuan Costilla right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Garavilla during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th minute, Julian Vielva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Julian Vielva put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Xuan Costilla. If Julian Vielva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. Xuan Costilla came out of the goal and Julian Vielva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Xepe Aramoyana came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Barcelona Sporting Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xepe Aramoyana couldn't finish the play. 94 minutes into the game, Barcelona Sporting Club's Julian Vielva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xuan Costilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. When the referee ended the match the Barcelona Sporting Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
