Alejandro Afaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vidal Falla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Boris Castellana managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Jauregui's supporters rose to their feet, but Boris Castellana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yader Salvador breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ubarna Benavides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alejandro Afaba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vidal Falla, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Alejandro Afaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vidal Falla in the 30th minute of play. Boris Castellana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ubarna Benavides's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yader Salvador read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. If Ubarna Benavides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yader Salvador made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Boris Castellana sent off a good shot on target. In the 45thth minute of the game Oscar Giraldez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UD Jauregui's Alejandro Afaba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 54th minute, Ubarna Benavides left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UD Jauregui fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 60th minute, Boris Castellana made a precise shot to the right of Yader Salvador. Biron FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 64 minutes into the match, Biron FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ubarna Benavides came free, but Yader Salvador reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, UD Jauregui's Ayoví Lantadilla got a free kick in the 64th minute. When Vidal Falla came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Biron FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vidal Falla couldn't finish the play. Yader Salvador showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubarna Benavides in the 75th minute of the match. Oscar Giraldez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Alejandro Afaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Coyette Avecilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boris Castellana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yader Salvador having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. UD Jauregui had won after a very even match.
