Spectators: 6685 (Terracing: 5002, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 0) UD Cachitoma's Zeledon Abos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Zeledon Abos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quiñónez Alison succeeded in the game's 8th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Paolo Bugedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quiñónez Alison, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Sergio Portal charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sergio Portal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes UD Timpu got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Portal. Macías Yanguas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Abos in the 25th minute of the match. Antonio Pujol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. UD Cachitoma's Paolo Bugedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quiñónez Alison in the 33rd minute of play. Xurxo Fidalgo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Macías Yanguas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, UD Timpu's goalkeeper Macías Yanguas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xurxo Fidalgo. The UD Cachitoma players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. UD Timpu were winning 0-1.

In the 53rd minute of the match, Antonio Pujol got a very nice opportunity to score, but Paolo Bugedo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 57 minutes into the match, UD Cachitoma's Zeledon Abos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Macías Yanguas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Zeledon Abos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Macías Yanguas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Abos in the 63rd minute of play. Rodas Eureste hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Franklin Roches sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and UD Cachitoma's Paolo Bugedo didn't even have to move. Macías Yanguas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xurxo Fidalgo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paolo Bugedo was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Quiñónez Alison capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Quiñónez Alison really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Macías Yanguas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Abos in the 79th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Xurxo Fidalgo sped through UD Timpu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Macías Yanguas. Paolo Bugedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antonio Pujol went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The UD Timpu supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing UD Timpu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
