After a defensive mix-up in Tabacay's zone, Marco Maura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xurde Uquillas came out of the goal and Marco Maura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marco Maura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dariusz Zbydniewski scored 0-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xurde Uquillas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dariusz Zbydniewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xurde Uquillas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Maura in the 44th minute of play. The Tabacay players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sport Durán were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marco Maura was the one to do the kick off. Carabalí Osaviaga hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the match, Dariusz Zbydniewski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xurde Uquillas. Tabacay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dariusz Zbydniewski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When the match had been going on for 68 minutes, Sport Durán's Joffre Asomoza got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Xurde Uquillas. The audience was convinced that Marco Maura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xurde Uquillas was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. 75 minutes into the match, Tabacay's Batista Piciña sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ovando Castillejo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of Tabacay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sport Durán:s goal. Batista Piciña charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Batista Piciña the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gonzales Cerecedo hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. 100 minutes into the match, Jerson Espinosa sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Xurde Uquillas threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Jerson Espinosa this time. When the final whistle sounded Sport Durán left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tabacay.
