Vicente Caruezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoilo Rallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Fidel Valda was extremely unlucky when he, in the 14th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Anibal Algarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Putumayo FC's Fidel Valda slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cevallos Vicastillo. That made the score 1-0 after 24 minutes of play. Fidel Valda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cevallos Vicastillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. After 31 minutes of play TodosNosTocamos's Efrain Suso was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 32nd match minute, TodosNosTocamos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Suso to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Arnoldo Mayre sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and TodosNosTocamos's Cevallos Vicastillo didn't even have to move. Anibal Algarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Cevallos Vicastillo made a huge save. Fidel Valda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fidel Valda in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cevallos Vicastillo saved TodosNosTocamos from getting behind. When Edgar Riofrio came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the TodosNosTocamos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Riofrio couldn't finish the play. After having played for 42 minutes, Edgar Riofrio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TodosNosTocamos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Riofrio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 43 minutes into the game, one of TodosNosTocamos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Cevallos Vicastillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urrutia Gante, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Denis Candelera kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. When Figueroa Titos came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the TodosNosTocamos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Figueroa Titos couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Putumayo FC's Vicente Caruezo got control of the ball when Edgar Riofrio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marco Cortazar kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After 66 minutes, Cruz Mazuca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Putumayo FC and the TodosNosTocamos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th match minute, Putumayo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cruz Mazuca to maneuver through the defense. Figueroa Titos's shot from long distance in the 67th minute was not bad at all, but Putumayo FC's Vicente Caruezo knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Cevallos Vicastillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anibal Algarte in the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Anibal Algarte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cevallos Vicastillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Valda in the 77th minute of play forced TodosNosTocamos's goalkeeper Cevallos Vicastillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Putumayo FC's Fidel Valda got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cevallos Vicastillo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anibal Algarte went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Algarte in the 86th minute of play forced TodosNosTocamos's goalkeeper Cevallos Vicastillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fidel Valda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Putumayo FC's Fidel Valda in 92 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Cevallos Vicastillo guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in.
