In the 9thth minute of the game Fidel Valda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but the champion's Pavel Lamas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pavel Lamas came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Putumayo FC's Fidel Valda. But to his dismay, Fidel Valda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 17th minute, Cruz Mazuca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29 played minutes the champion got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Balli. Urrutia Gante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vicente Caruezo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Teofilo Gayo. In the 45th minute Anibal Algarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Lamas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anibal Algarte took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pavel Lamas. Pavel Lamas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fidel Valda made a kick off. Pablo-Enrique Olozaga hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Anibal Algarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Pavel Lamas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fidel Valda struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Pavel Lamas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Putumayo FC. 69 minutes into the match, Putumayo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Villacanes came free, but Vicente Caruezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Putumayo FC's Vicente Caruezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Villacanes in the 75th minute of play. After 83 played minutes the champion got a freekick which was hit by Baldeón Merchan. In the 85th minute Fidel Valda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Lamas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anibal Algarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fidel Valda struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Valda in the 94th minute of play forced the champion's goalkeeper Pavel Lamas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, Anibal Algarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Putumayo FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than the champion.
