Spectators: 6699 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1699, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Quiróz Azaceta took the kick off in the first half of the match. 6 minutes in the game, Henry Mortal fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fabian Cadiñanos having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Arnoldo Cadanes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CD Cuchitingue's Xavon Llano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quiróz Azaceta in the 9th minute of play. In the 15th minute of the match, Marco Sobrefuentes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fabian Cadiñanos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of CD Cuchitingue booed when Sucumbios was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Cadanes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Sobrefuentes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Cadiñanos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Mortal in the 24th minute of play forced Sucumbios's goalkeeper Fabian Cadiñanos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Cadiñanos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry Mortal's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Marco Sobrefuentes scored 1-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabian Cadiñanos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marco Sobrefuentes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Cadiñanos having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Sucumbios's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Mortal came free, but Fabian Cadiñanos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CD Cuchitingue's Henry Mortal got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute Henry Mortal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Cadiñanos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Sobrefuentes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luzuriaga Verano's late challenge caught a Sucumbios's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luzuriaga Verano helped the player get up and apologised. Luzuriaga Verano kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. In the 50th minute, Arnoldo Cadanes made a precise shot to the right of Xavon Llano. CD Cuchitingue's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Fabian Cadiñanos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Sobrefuentes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Henry Mortal came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the CD Cuchitingue fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henry Mortal couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute, Henry Mortal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Umbruso Benegas kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Luzuriaga Verano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnoldo Cadanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavon Llano having to interfere. When Arnoldo Cadanes came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Sucumbios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnoldo Cadanes couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Henry Mortal managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Cuchitingue's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry Mortal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Cadiñanos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sucumbios's Arnoldo Cadanes got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henry Mortal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabian Cadiñanos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Sobrefuentes, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Xavon Llano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnoldo Cadanes in the 93rd minute. Marco Sobrefuentes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
