Virgilio Chumacero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Berinduaga in the 61st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Briones FC's zone, Roldan Saladrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guamán Colina came out of the goal and Roldan Saladrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Briones FC's Guamán Colina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Briones FC from getting a goal against them. 89 minutes into the match, Briones FC's John Sombredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgilio Chumacero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. John Rosio struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Guamán Colina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Zuleta.
