But to his dismay, Gerardo Torres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 17 played minutes Shuyucuchu got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Casarin. After 21 minutes, Gonzalo Plata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cumbaya FC and the Shuyucuchu players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Shuyucuchu booed when Cumbaya FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Plata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Espinola Quintanadueñas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oso Xavalera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the game, Rubén Igareda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shuyucuchu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cumbaya FC the free kick. A collision led to Shuyucuchu getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Rubén Igareda hit a great ball. Estrada Zaldos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Plata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Shuyucuchu's goalkeeper Estrada Zaldos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iza Lacueva. When Augusto Zuloaga fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shuyucuchu's protests and gave Augusto Zuloaga a yellow card for diving instead. After 31 played minutes Shuyucuchu got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Zuloaga. In the 41st minute of the game Fabricio Avecilla made a throw-in which Iza Lacueva played forward. The supporters of Cumbaya FC booed when Shuyucuchu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Zuloaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Iza Lacueva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Estrada Zaldos. That made the score 1-1 in the 44 minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gonzalo Plata to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Shuyucuchu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Casarin to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Shuyucuchu's zone, Jose-Antonio Sandin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Estrada Zaldos came out of the goal and Jose-Antonio Sandin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 55 minutes into the match, Shuyucuchu's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Plata came free, but Estrada Zaldos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Estrada Zaldos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iza Lacueva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iza Lacueva kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. If Gerardo Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Cumbaya FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oso Xavalera came free, but Espinola Quintanadueñas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Cumbaya FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Unai Villagarcia hit a great ball. With his leg Espinola Quintanadueñas managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Shuyucuchu's Gerardo Torres fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Mauricio Villaseca came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Cumbaya FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauricio Villaseca couldn't finish the play. Augusto Zuloaga hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Gerardo Torres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Espinola Quintanadueñas having to make a save. With a little luck, Cumbaya FC's Espinola Quintanadueñas got control of the ball when Gerardo Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Iza Lacueva notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Shuyucuchu's Estrada Zaldos. Estrada Zaldos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cumbaya FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! Estrada Zaldos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iza Lacueva, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Shuyucuchu's Estrada Zaldos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iza Lacueva in the 94th minute of play. Estrada Zaldos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iza Lacueva in the 95th minute of the match.
