Spectators: 7323 (Terracing: 5494, Seating: 1684, VIP seats: 145) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tomas Barahona made the kick off which started today's match. The long shot by Pablo Salazano in the 3rd minute really tested Maximo Mariategui's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Tomas Barahona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 6 minutes into the game, Tomas Barahona lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Maximo Mariategui. After a defensive mix-up in Dynamo FC Guayaquil's zone, Uxio Graña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zernin Campo came out of the goal and Uxio Graña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dynamo FC Guayaquil's Zernin Campo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Migolla in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, Ayalan SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Intriago Pardo to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Dynamo FC Guayaquil's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Migolla came free, but Zernin Campo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Mario Migolla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Zernin Campo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 27th minute, Tomas Barahona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Migolla in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zernin Campo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chiriboga Artaza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Maximo Mariategui made a huge save. When Vellito Payno came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Ayalan SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vellito Payno couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mario Migolla stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes in the game, Vellito Payno fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Zernin Campo having to interfere. In the 56th minute Mario Migolla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zernin Campo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vellito Payno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Zernin Campo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Barahona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute of the match, Mario Migolla tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zernin Campo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Barahona in the 65th minute of play forced Ayalan SC's goalkeeper Maximo Mariategui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mario Migolla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mario Migolla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zernin Campo having to interfere. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dynamo FC Guayaquil's goalkeeper Zernin Campo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chiriboga Artaza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Maximo Mariategui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ayalan SC's Vellito Payno got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
