Humberto Leis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 5thth minute, Lucio Barcia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Borja Lerin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 played minutes Marianito SC got a freekick which was hit by Borja Lerin. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Marianito SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Aries S.C.:s goal. 24 minutes into the match, Aries S.C.'s Manuel Aalexoaiei sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucio Barcia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Marianito SC's zone, Amadeo Ledea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucio Barcia came out of the goal and Amadeo Ledea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marianito SC's Lucio Barcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Aalexoaiei in the 32nd minute of play. Elvis Cotarelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute Elvis Cotarelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Rafecas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 41 minutes, Clemente Giralte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aries S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Giralte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elvis Cotarelo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes in the game, Humberto Leis dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Elvis Cotarelo took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teofilo Rafecas. Teofilo Rafecas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. The supporters of Marianito SC booed when Aries S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cotera Elicegui didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 85 played minutes Marianito SC got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Zuya. The audience was convinced that Humberto Leis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucio Barcia was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. The Aries S.C. fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Aries S.C.'s Humberto Leis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 97th minute Cotera Elicegui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Barcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Aries S.C. had played much better football throughout.
