In the 44thth minute of the game Cántaro Aspiazu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UD Quillalli's Murillo Lamboy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in UD Quillalli's zone, Juan Fornell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murillo Lamboy came out of the goal and Juan Fornell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The supporters of UD Quillalli booed when Cuembi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Fornell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reasco Pachon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valery Miralles, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Cuembi's Mellington Medina got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 80 minutes of play, Cuembi's Cántaro Aspiazu made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Murillo Lamboy was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Juan Fornell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Cántaro Aspiazu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Murillo Lamboy was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 90th minute, Juan Fornell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute of the match Lopez Aroztegui sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Murillo Lamboy skillfully saved the ball. In the 93rd minute, Cántaro Aspiazu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There was no doubt that Cuembi were the better team. Cuembi's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
