Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Chinchin SC's Corozo Ontañon started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Quiróz Ligero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandez Mieses having to interfere. If Quiróz Ligero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Beranga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Fernandez Mieses made a huge save. 10 minutes into the match, Chinchin SC's goalkeeper Fernandez Mieses had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Beranga. If Juan Beranga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Fernandez Mieses managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when El Nacional's Juan Beranga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Juan Beranga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Justavino Campano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 26 played minutes El Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Kaviedes Carmeneses. Chinchin SC's Fernandez Mieses proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Chinchin SC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 38 minutes, Quiróz Ligero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quiróz Ligero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Juan Beranga managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Nacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Beranga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernandez Mieses breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Chinchin SC's zone, Quiróz Ligero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernandez Mieses came out of the goal and Quiróz Ligero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Juan Beranga came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the El Nacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Beranga couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Beranga to make the kick off. Quiróz Ligero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Beranga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 57 played minutes, El Nacional's Ximun Mostaza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fernandez Mieses came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in El Nacional reached it. Chiriboga Juaristi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, El Nacional's Juan Beranga got a free kick in the 61st minute. After 67 minutes, Loco Basozabal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chinchin SC and the El Nacional players grew even worse after the yellow card. Loco Basozabal hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Quiróz Ligero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Beranga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Fernandez Mieses tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Chinchin SC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Beranga came free, but Fernandez Mieses reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. El Nacional were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Chinchin SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Oso Bravain took the corner. The corner ended in Oso Bravain almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chinchin SC's Fernandez Mieses did a great save. Corozo Ontañon's late challenge caught a El Nacional's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Corozo Ontañon helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Corozo Ontañon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute of the match Roris Penilla shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernandez Mieses showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Juan Beranga might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernandez Mieses. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Beranga ran back to his position shaking his head. If Quiróz Ligero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. El Nacional were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
