In a very dangerous position, a player in Romeros SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Caminos de la Vida a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gerardo Cea, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Romeros SC's Escobar Bozo. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Caminos de la Vida's zone, Belchior Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Puerta came out of the goal and Belchior Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. John Puerta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belchior Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciriaco Bertol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Puerta having to interfere. Ciriaco Bertol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 23 minutes, Belchior Vale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Romeros SC and the Caminos de la Vida players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Belchior Vale came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Romeros SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belchior Vale couldn't finish the play. Ciriaco Bertol might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over John Puerta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciriaco Bertol ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belchior Vale in the 35th minute of play forced Caminos de la Vida's goalkeeper John Puerta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Caminos de la Vida's Xabier Lasarte dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. If Belchior Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xabier Lasarte to make the kick off. Escobar Bozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xabier Lasarte in the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th minute Peter Vallina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Escobar Bozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Escobar Bozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Lanzon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xabier Lasarte scored 3-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Escobar Bozo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Belchior Vale might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over John Puerta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Belchior Vale ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Romeros SC defense, Lucio Lanzon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Escobar Bozo. The Romeros SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Escobar Bozo should have stopped the shot. Ciriaco Bertol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. John Puerta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Ciriaco Bertol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Romeros SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciriaco Bertol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Puerta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Romeros SC's Belchior Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xelo Rubalcava sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ur Olazabal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 98th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for John Puerta. Caminos de la Vida's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Romeros SC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Caminos de la Vida had won, even though Romeros SC had held more of the ball.
